Student Booking
Booking a student with a homestay provider
When booking students with homestay providers, we aim to offer the best match possible. In doing so we need to consider various aspects of hosting, i.e. dietary requirements, allergies, family with children, animals, your location etc.
After matching a potential student with the host, a Booking Agreement will be emailed to the host parent, with details such as name, age, nationality of the student, arrival and departure dates, dietary requirement and any other special requirements as well as weekly rate. Please make sure you submit and return this Booking Agreement as confirmation of your acceptance of the booking.
Details such as programmes and exact timing of arrival and departure will be emailed to you nearer to the time of arriving.
For data protection reasons we only provide you with the student's name and age. It is up to you to exchange contact details with the student on arrival.
Cancellations
We cannot take responsibility for any cancellations. If a student cancels their course with us prior to arrival we will do our best to let you know as soon as possible and although we can't guarantee this, we will do our best to offer you a replacement student soon as possible.
If a student unexpectedly cancels their accommodation during their course and this is not because of a complaint relating to their stay with you, we will continue to pay the remainder of your weekly rate.
If you have to cancel our arrangement of hosting a student, please let us know immediately so we can find alternative arrangements for the student.
Hosting over 18s
Over 18s are expected to be independent and mature. They are expected to observe home stay rules and to be communicative and inform hosts of their plans. They can be given a set of keys and relative freedom in their movements. Guidance, advice, local information and a the willingness to assist with any emergencies is expected from homestay.
Hosting under 18s
Your responsibilities as a host are greater than when hosting over 18s. Under 18s require more help, guidance and assistance than adults. Safeguarding is of utmost importance. You will be asked to help students get home in the evenings.
