Prevent Policy

The role of staff and homestay providers is to promote the four core British values of democracy, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs. Extremism means holding extreme political or religious views which may deny rights to any group or individual. Radicalisation is the act or process of making a person more radical. Extremism can refer to a range of views, e.g. racism, homophobia, right-wing ideology as well as any religious extremism. Homestay providers, just like school staff and providers are expected to always encourage students to respect one another and to respect and tolerate difference. If you are worried about your student's views and attitude to others and their faith or beliefs, please contact us immediately.
